Dr. Young, a midwest native, has been living on the East Coast for the last twenty years. She received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Immaculata University and has worked in a variety of treatment settings including intensive outpatient units, community mental health, college counseling centers, forensic mental health, and private practice.
Using a person-centered, trauma informed, approach to therapy, Dr. Young aims to provide an empathetic and warm environment for the therapeutic process to thrive. Dr. Young treats clients with mood disorders, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, adjustment disorders, substance use disorders, and reproductive/maternal psychological distress.
Dr. Young is an Adjunct Professor at Rowan University where she is also the Practicum Coordinator for the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Graduate Program. She is currently completing her Post-Doctoral Fellowship under the supervision of Dr. Jeremy Zane.
